Outreach Director Position at Crosswalk Chattanooga

Status: Part-time Non-exempt
Hours: 10 Hours Per Week

The CRSWLK Outreach Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing outreach initiatives designed to enhance community engagement and foster relationships between the church and community. This role involves coordinating events, building partnerships with community organizations, and promoting the mission and services of the organization through outreach efforts. The ideal candidate is passionate about making a positive impact in the community, has excellent communication skills, and is able to effectively manage multiple projects at once.

Responsibilities:
Develop a calendar of outreach events and activities
Recruit and grow a team of volunteers to assist in leadership in outreach
Ensure all outreach events are adequately staffed with volunteer
Manage outreach budget
Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, organizations, and other stakeholders to promote the organization's mission and programs.
Serve as a primary point of contact for community inquiries and outreach requests.
Organize and attend outreach events
Develop outreach strategies and programs that align with the organization's goals and target audience.
Coordinate community events and public awareness campaigns.
Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with local nonprofits and businesses to support outreach efforts.
Represent the organization at external meetings, events, and community forums.
Cultivate relationships to identify collaborative opportunities for community development.
Track outreach efforts and engagement metrics to assess the effectiveness of programs.
Ensure all community outreach activities comply with organizational policies and relevant regulations.
Attend Quarterly & Annual reviews with a direct supervisor.
Engage in church wide events and weekly services.
Be self-motivated, not needing micromanagement, yet love to live life with a team.
Attend weekly staff meetings as an active team member.
Attend monthly ALL Staff meetings & other required events/meetings
Attend benevolence committee meetings

Candidate Requirements:
Must be 18 years or older
Minimum 2 years experience
High social intelligence.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with diverse community members.
Experience working with diverse populations and a passion for community service.
Capable of coordinating multiple tasks and adjusting to changing priorities, meeting deadlines, and scheduling of a growing church.
Working knowledge of Planning Center Online (Preferred)
Demonstrate a strong work ethic and take initiative.
Must be able to use discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Above average communication and writing skills.
Understanding of and alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the church.
